The late 90’s was that weird time span by which most classic death metal mongers had either ran out of steam or were making desperate attempts at remaining relevant via weird experimentations. Pittsburgh's death doom quartet Taphos Nomos are just weird enough to fit those strange days, except their lengthy compositions flow with that rare inventiveness reserved for bands that transcend time and genres.
