Distorted Sound Mag: It’s a brilliant opener that, with it’s sudden tempo changes and varied guitar work makes for a genuinely intense and unpredictable piece of music. The songs closing, ethereal moments bleed seamlessly into Cotard Delusion, another visceral and cacophonous slab of abrasive death metal.
The Metal Wanderlust: Neither Krallice or Cosmic Putrefaction are ‘easily’ definable, so it stands to reason that a collaboration between the two would be a little outside the box as well. And though some comparison is unavoidable, McMaster and Gramaglia as a unit are more straightforwardly Death Metal than Krallice, more Avant-garde than Cosmic Putrefaction, and still manage to be enough of both to please fans of either. To put it another way, if you took both bands and mixed them all up with the likes of Gorguts, Blood Incantation, and Deathspell Omega, you would be on the right track. “Twisting and mind warping,” indeed!
This is about as good as OSDM gets, to be honest. Blood Incantation are quickly building a pretty flawless discography of modern classics and every release just improves and evolves their sound. Stellar stuff (literally). Colin Kauffman
Saw these guys live at The House of Blues on the Up From the Sewer tour and I think "disappoint" is a concept this band doesn't know. Not only did they set the tone and mood for the night, the showed they have what it takes to go places in the scene, in my opinion at least. Steven
