This fucking RIPS! Great production and really digging the bass. The final minute of Archfiend Coercion Methods is superb, headbanging riffage. DONT SLEEP ON THIS!

CALIGARI RECORDS is proud to present UNDEATH's debut demo, Demo '19, on cassette tape format. Aptly titled, Demo '19 is UNDEATH's first public recording. Despite being spawned in 2019, the sounds contained within this sewer of plastic emit a particularly rotten air that can only come from the classics of yore. Indeed, UNDEATH are likewise aptly monikered, for their restless 'n' rancid style of death metal eschews any and all modernity in favor of putrid rawness. Let it be known, however, that "rawness" here does not equate to sloppiness; if anything, this power-trio from Rochester, New York exhibit enviable chops far more developed than their mere years as a band suggest. In any case, here are five slimy songs that give a tantalizing taste of vomitive things to come!
Chambers comes on and in the first couple of minutes, I had to stop dead in my living room and sit my ass down. The drum sound was THAT immediate. Encoffinized drops the hammer and gets the hell outta town for an LP. While there may not be tons of trailblazing about this release, but I have to put plant a flag in the ground here and say that this kind of "sound" takes vision, personality, and dedication. Imprecation...Malignant Altar....Frozen Soul...I'm not sure what kind of sick ancient OSDM portal is being accessed in Texas these days, but these bands are killing it. Best EP I've heard since Spectral Voice's Necrotic Doom. Jay Lane
A corrosive mix of death, doom, psychedelia, and black metal, the Portland quartet’s debut full-length is a bona fide underground monolith that shapeshifts with each listen, all while maintaining its essential heaviness. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 1, 2019
